Visit Tanzania’s Southern Circuit, where the parks and game reserves are relatively unknown and represent the hidden treasures of authentic Africa.

Venture into these huge parks where access is sometimes challenging and distances between destinations are great.  Nevertheless, exploring in the Southern Circuit is always a rewarding and fantastic experience.

Discover the enormous Selous Game Reserve and Ruaha National Park which hold some of the highest concentrations of animals anywhere in Africa. Rare Sable and Roan antelope, striped hyena and wild dogs (the painted wolves of Africa) are  regularly spotted in the rugged, semi-arid bush country which surrounds the Rufiji and Great Ruaha Rivers.

Experience a spectacular method of game viewing by taking a boat safari on these rivers, among an abundance of hippo and crocodile.  A walking safari with an armed ranger is also a fantastic way to get close to wild animals.

Uncover other concealed gems in the south: Mikumi National Park with its herds of powerful eland and spiral-horned greater kudu, Saadani, where the bush and its inhabitants meet the beach, the botanists dream world of Kitulo - “a Serengeti of Flowers” and Udzungwa in the Eastern Arc Mountains, dubbed an African Galapagos for its myriad endemic plants and animals.
